| It's with much sadness that I have to report a death, not of a person but of a Institution. The Milonga at the Continental Ballroom will be closed due to lack of attendance and the possible closing of the studio. The longest running Milonga in the area has finally come to an end. This milonga has run for at least 12 years and was the first in Pinellas. I wish Sherry the best and hope she can keep going. However all is not lost, as Victoria and Frederico intend to continue it in Tampa. Len see below........... “Victoria & Federico have happily agreed to host a new Milonga called “La Porteñita” the first Saturday of every month in lieu of the Continental Ballroom Milonga. The inaugural Milonga “La Porteñita” will take place on Saturday, February 5th, 2011 from 9pm – 2am at Atelier Dance Studio in South Tampa. More information will come soon from the new organizers” |
